If you file Chapter 13 bankruptcy can take your Income Tax Refund?

Category : Bankruptcy

I filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy and have not filed my income tax return yet. I was told that the bankruptcy court can take your refund if you have one for you. Is that true?

Yes they can. . . . The trustee will check them sigh. . . . I file my tax return before filing bankruptcy and had to display a list detailing how to spend money. . . but I had to show receipts. . . and pay the bills I couldnt go. . . I had to put things like car repairs, clothing, etc.. . If you file bankruptcy B4 U file your return. . . . the president will take it away. . .

The way I understand is that everything that you have fully amortized shall be considered income to you. This means you have to pay taxes on this, as if you received money as income.

I do not know now, but about 10 years ago filed for bankruptcy and I kept all of my refund.

I think that – well, one of the things you used to remove the bankruptcy is fiscal responsibility.
